Writing about the hardships of contemporary living in post independence India’s middle class, which is aspiring and occasionally impatient. Although his stories start off simply, they finally come to a stunning and unexpected conclusion. Writing “expresses a writer’s relationship with many emotions,” he claimed, and “no writing can belong to any class or community,” but rather “it belongs to the whole world.” Also, he has translated works by other Oriya authors.
