The poems are about Radha and Krishna’s love for one another, their secret trysts in the woods, Krishna’s charms, such as his magic flute, the gopis’ love for Krishna, Radha’s viraha when she is separated from Krishna, and her agony when she sees him playing with the other gopis. Despite being written by males, a lot of poetry concentrates on the emotions of a woman in love.
