“Bhubaneswar Shilalipi” is an essay collection written in the Odia language by Paramananda Acharya and released in 1969.The capital of Odisha, Bhubaneswar, is known as the “city of temples” since it is home to almost 700 temples on its hallowed grounds. The majority of these temples were constructed as monuments to the great “Lord Shiva,” one of Hindu mythology’s most potent deities. Additionally, TriBhubaneswar, which means “God of three worlds,” is another moniker for Lord Shiva from whom the city’s name is derived. Awe-inspiring architectural designs from the 8th to 12th centuries’ Ancient Kalinga and Eula may be seen in Bhubaneswar’s temples. These temples offer amazing embodiments and décor that provide a magnificent touch to the composition, as well as these recognisable characteristics.

For the many millions of worshippers who revere the powerful “Lord Shiva” in the most reverent manner conceivable, Bhubaneswar is undoubtedly a heaven. There are, however, several additional temples where the teachings of other legendary deities, such as Lord Brahma, Lord Rama, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Krishna, are practised. As a result, the following are some of Bhubaneswar’s most well-known temples that any tourist seeking the heavenly graces of these magnificent Hindu deities must see!
