Indian author and poet Madhusudan Rao wrote in the Odia language. He went by the name Bhaktakabi.He was born on January 19, 1853, in the Puri district. By experimenting and incorporating foreign lyrical aspects, he was a well-known Odia poet and writer who is regarded as the Father of Modern Odia Poetry. On December 28, 1912, he passed away.Indian poet, author, and liberation warrior from the Odia language named Madhusudan Rao. In Odisha, he is referred to as Bhaktakabi.He is regarded as the founder of contemporary Odia poetry, according to the Encyclopaedia of Indian Literature. The earliest collection of essays in Odia is thought to have been his Prabandhamala, which was released in 1880.
