Birakishore Das, sometimes referred to as “Jatiya Kabi Birakishore” was an Odisha-born poet, politician, and social activist.Most well-known as the editor of the monthly magazine “Mo Desha” On November 23, 1898, in the Punanga village of the Cuttack area, Birakishore Das was born. He graduated from Victoria High School in Cuttack and went on to work for Odisha’s cooperative department. In 1921, after serving for five years, he joined the Non-Cooperation movement.His patriotic songs, which were written in opposition to British rule and served as an inspiration to countless numbers of people, made him quite well-known during the time of the freedom movement.The British administration required him to publish “Mohana Banshi,” a collection of patriotic songs.
