Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, often known as Babasaheb Ambedkar, was a lawyer, politician, and social reformer. The Indian Constitution’s Father is another name for him. His attempts to alleviate societal ills like untouchability and caste limitations were notable as a well-known politician and respected judge.

Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar was an Indian jurist, economist, social reformer, and political figure who served as the chairman of the committee that drafted the Constitution of India from the discussions in the Constituent Assembly. He also held the position of Law and Justice Minister in Jawaharlal Nehru’s first cabinet and, after renunciating Hinduism, served as an inspiration for the Dalit Buddhist movement.

He practised law, taught economics, and was an economist in his early years. He started converting Dalits in large numbers to Buddhism in 1956.
