A collection of collected works titled “Balarama Dasa Rachana Sambhara” was released by Krushna Charana Sahu in 2012.The epic poem Jagamohana Ramayana, sometimes referred to as Dandi Ramayana in Odisha, was written by Balarama Dasa in the fifteenth century. Although it is not a literal translation, this work is a retelling of the Ramayana.

This version presents the narrative as Lord Shiva telling Goddess Parvati a story.The two engage in discourse, which drives the story along. The narrative starts with Sati and how Shiva ultimately wins her back in the guise of Parvati. Shiva tells Parvati the tale of Rama after bringing them together. Dasarath’s attempts to organise a yajna in order to have a son mark the beginning of the Ramayana’s story. The text follows the Sanskrit Ramayana’s main storyline. However, there are also notable divergences in the supporting stories and minor characters. Therefore, it is not a translation of the original Ramayana in Sanskrit.
