Rama Das’ literary effort, Dardhyata Bhakti Rasamirta (Aesthetic delight of solid confidence in God). More than fifty devotees’ lives and careers in devotion as well as those from other regions of India are addressed in that poetry literature. The tales also offer a wealth of trustworthy and insightful historical information on the reigns of Kings Kapilendradeva, Purusottamdeva, and Prataprurdadeva of Odisha (Orissa). The stories were told in a very lyrical, straightforward, and attractive manner. Rama Das, a devoted follower of Lord Jagannath, was born into a Brahmin family in the Mahuri state’s Dura village in the Ganjam region.
