“Nabajibana”The first issue of this magazine was published in February 1956 with Sri Chintamani Misra (1904-1980) as its founder and editor .‘Nabajivan’ holds an important place among the Odia magazines published during the post-independence period.The editorial of the first issue states, “If one gets attracted to the cultural past, in stead of fearing it like a ghost, one’s thoughts and the development process will be enriched. We hope that Nabajivan will be able to perform its duty in this regard with the help of its patron writers.”
