Banabina published in 1936 under the patronage of Balabhadranarayan Bhanjadeo, the king of Kendujhar state. Banambar Acharya and Rangadhar Mishra were its editors. It provided geral literary contents in the way of stories, poems, drama, biography, essays etc. Among its regular contributors were Nityananda Mahapatra, Jagabandhu Tripathy, Natabar Debata, Lakshmidhar Nayak, Nabakishor Das, Basanta Kumar Behura, Benudhar Raut.
