Prabhata magazine published in 1933 from Sambalpur with Sarat Kumar Santra as its editor by the missionaries .Some of its regular sections were household matters, cooking and food made it appear as a women’s magazine, but it was for a general readership and had both male and female writers. It carried stories, poems, essays etc. on Christianity in simple language and in a rational manner.
