A well-known Odia poet, novelist, storyteller, dramatist, and essayist is Kalindi Charan Panigrahi. His most well-known work is Matira Manisha. Padma Bhushan and Sahitya Akademi awards have been given to him for his contributions to Odia literature.Born in Khurda, Kalindi Charana Panigrahi is a member of the Sabuja Gosthi generation of the 20th century. He is considered as a remarkable essayist, novelist, dramatist, storyteller, editor, and poet.
The writing of this wonderful guy continued until his passing. His autobiography, “Jaha Ange Nivaichi,” made a lasting addition to Odisha’s literary heritage. This recipient of the Padma Bhusan Award was also given a fellowship by the Kendra Sahitya Academy.For his lifetime of contributions to Odia literature, IMFA CHARITABLE TRUST gave him a D.Litt degree from Sambalpur University.
