Perhaps a few words to introduce the book are in order. This is a speech I, an established author, am making to the hopeful young people of today who are starting to compose creative works, specifically short tales.I’m not suited for the position, therefore please don’t use me in a didactic or teaching way. I merely wish to discuss my ideas with them in light of my personal writing experience and some coincidental research.

As a result, it makes no claim to be a manual of any kind, despite the fact that I have dared to share my opinion on a number of subjects in the hopes that it would aid readers in making judgements that are both wise and useful. It is more significant that it is concerned with difficulties that affect a writer’s “soul,” or his literary self that depends on a particular philosophy of life, rather than the feasibility of his writings from a business standpoint. Because a short story is a creative literary work for me that contains meanings and pleasures above and beyond its commercial potential, and frequently goes against it. Yet I have reasons to think that a lot of today’s young writers in our country also have this outlook on life and Literature.
